English For Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

The ESOL classes cater for the English language learning needs of international students. We have four levels of ESOL classes so students can study at the right level for them.  All international students have the opportunity to have eight classes of ESOL per week according to their needs. At the senior level the students sit NCEA assessments in ESOL and English to gain credits towards their New Zealand high school qualification.  The ESOL students are taught all literacy skills in small classes of no more than 10 students. Students who want to attend university are given the opportunity to study English level two for university entrance. There is also an after school IELTS class for students serious about taking this exam.

Subjects can be viewed from our curriculum page.
