Whare pukapuka (Library)

The Martha Gillies whare pukapuka (Library) (named after one of the schools previous Deputy Principals) contains an extensive range of reading material, catering for students of all ages and genres.  In 2020 the whare pukapuka (Library) was relocated to the other side of the school, close to D block in a newly refurbished building, providing a lovely welcoming and modern setting.

The whare pukapuka (library) also has a separate computer suite available for students to use.

The school Librarian, Mrs Bayard, keeps the library stocked with the latest book releases and students requests.  This now also includes E-books.

Students can join a team of student librarians from as early as Year 7.

Students are welcome to use the whare pukapuka (Library) at interval and lunchtime for a quite reading space, playing board games or using the computers for educational purposes.

From here students can access catalogue anywhere on the Internet.
